For Grades K-6 Educators

Greg Tang In-Person Math PD

Do you have students who struggle with their math facts and number sense? Have trouble with fractions or word problems? Is it difficult to re-teach basic skills, fill gaps in understanding, and teach this year's curriculum - all at the same time?

If this sounds all too familiar, join Greg for his K-6 workshop, Innovative Instruction & Intervention, where he will share his "less is more" approach to teaching critical strategies and skills. Together, you'll explore proven progressions of Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) models that give kids a deeper, more connected understanding of math.

Innovative Instruction & Intervention

Streamlined Approach

Unlike many math programs that believe more is better, Greg believes the opposite is true - less can be so much more. Greg's approach focuses on fewer, more flexible and generalizable models and manipulatives - the secret to more effective math instruction and intervention.

In just one math-packed day, Greg will share insights from his over 4,000 in-person workshops and working with more than 2.3 million students. Our focus will target be proven learning progressions that develop place value and base 10 thinking, fluency with whole number operations and algorithms, and strong algebraic thinking & reasoning skills.

Feedback from Attendees

This was my first Greg Tang workshop and 3 days later, I am still talking about it and I don't anticipate that changing anytime soon! I transitioned from education 5 years ago and in one workshop, Greg has brought me up to speed. Granted, I still have lots to learn, but he gave me the foundational support I have been looking for all year. I am excited to start working with my teachers on number bonds, fluency, and reasoning skills. Thank you!

The best math conference I've attended in years! Love that Greg gave us the nuts and bolts to helping students develop thinking processes for math. I hope everyone teaching our youth attends a Greg Tang workshop ASAP!

I thought this workshop was invaluable in showing not only strategies that teach the conceptual understanding but also are applied all through a child's math journey. Magical!

This workshop helped me make connections in ways that the other professional developments have not been able to. I love how common sense Greg's approach is. Love it, love it, love it!
